In Patagonia by Bruce Chatwin
This one’s a good old piece of travel literature by Bruce Chatwin. It’s based in Patagonia, in case you didn’t gather this from the title, and is a well presented nonfiction piece which presents like a work of fiction – it’s kept interesting. There are interesting characters and dialogue presented throughout Chatwin’s journey and there’s a nice voice to his writing. You can expect to stumble across Argentinean history while Chatwin shares cups of tea with locals he meets then presents them to his readers. If you haven’t already read this one and need a piece of travel writing from South America it’s not a bad option.
I think it’s a 7.5 star job.
